We often tend feel discouraged, unsuccessful and devastated on experiencing a failures. Even the positive words from our well wisher seem to be pricking your heart. It is indeed very important to get out of such a situation and the best way to do this is to motivate yourself on your own. yes it is only that self motivation or the Self Help which helps us to overcome the repetitive feeling of failures. Self help or rather self improvement as most us are aware is a practice of motivating your own self whether it be intellectually, emotionally, or economically by molding your negative thoughts into positive one’s, overlooking the past defeats and overcoming the present difficulties and obstacles in any aspect of your life be it professional or personal. Self help is more often done by changing the psychological expression of one’s own self. There are various ways to self help. Like joining discussion or support groups where people suffering with similar problems bring out their feelings and share their thoughts with one another, making use of public information by reading books, articles on self help , attending seminars or meetings related to self development programs or simply one can motivate himself on his own as well.
However researches tell us that amongst all the methods listed the best and most popular and advantageous method is to opt for the self help groups. This is because in self help group people find it more comfortable and easy to let out all those criticizing thoughts and feelings which have been pinching their souls throughout since they experienced their first major fall in life. Also being amongst the beings that are facing the same problems, they even find it convenient to sympathize with each other. Self help groups are capable of evoking emotions, friendship, a sense of belongingness, creating an identity and developing a positive outlook towards life. The most important key of self help is developing an optimistic approach towards life. Learn to take things lightly. Don’t aggravate you thoughts at sight of the slightest problem. Keep your mind calm and cool, don’t be an insensible reactor towards immediate problems. Remember the one who is reacts less and performs more is always considered wise. Don’t feel ashamed on facing a failure, just think that may be future has something better in store for you. You never know ehen an opportunity comes knocking on your door don’t get discouraged, get up and get going. Look into the bright colors, try to explore your world, your fantasies, your goals and dreams. Think about living in the moment. Another important thing never peep through your past thinking of it as a nightmare instead learn from those mistakes and falls and stand up once again. Motivating your own often may also seem to be a difficult task and there might be an instance when it may seem to you like a meaningless practice. However think again before discarding it because self help will definitely bring you results may be later but the results are sure to show up and that too quite fruitful. |
